Two babies were born prematurely in Kyiv on the day of the Russian invasion. A couple of Americans acquired the their twin babies by Ukrainian surrogate mother when the war in Ukraine started.
The father of the twins, Alexander Spector, stated that he is “incredibly anxious, tired, but also incredibly optimistic “and the couple expects the Biden government to help them get their babies out of the country, where the war rages for the seventh daywith safety.
“They were taken from a hospital today where there was no shelter, no basement,” the father told CNN on Tuesday. The father of the babies is in Georgia, USA and he is looking forward to seeing his children. “We hope every day that this moment will come soon,” he says.
The babies and the surrogate mother were taken to a safer hospital but conditions are still extremely difficult and as Spector described to NBC they are anxious to find milk specifically for premature babies.
