Two more ships with cereals they sailed from the port of Hornomorsk UkrainianTurkey’s Defense Ministry announced today, bringing to 27 the total number of ships that have departed from Ukrainian Black Sea ports since theagreement signed with the mediation of the UN.
Zumrut Ana and MV Ocean S, which were cleared to sail today, are carrying 6,300 tons of sunflower oil and 25,000 tons of grain respectively, according to the joint coordination center established by Russia, Ukraine and Turkey in cooperation with the UN and based in Istanbul.
In addition, Ukrainian port authorities indicated today that agricultural products are being loaded on seven ships, which will carry 66,500 tons of grain, corn and sunflower oil.
According to the same img, these products will be delivered to France, Sudan, Turkey and the Netherlands.
Grain exports from Ukraine, as APE-MPE reminds, had stopped after invasion of the country of Russia and the closing of Black Sea ports, raising global food prices and raising concerns about possible shortages in Africa and the Middle East.
The UN and Turkey brokered a deal in late July that will allow Ukraine to resume exporting grain through its Black Sea ports, despite the war with Russia.
For his part, the Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov said yesterday on Friday that another ten cargo ships are being loaded with grain in the ports of the Black Sea and are preparing to sail.
Kubrakov explained that already 25 ships have sailed from three Ukrainian ports carrying 630,000 tons of agricultural products.
