War in Ukraine: Ukrainians and Moldovans synchronized with European electricity grid

According to the Commission, more than 300,000 Ukrainian refugees fleeing the Russian invasion of Ukraine have sought refuge in Moldova. Moldovan border guards face challenges, both because of the high number of arrivals and because they share a border with a war zone.

In order to support the Moldovan authorities in addressing these challenges, the agreement signed will enable the increased development of Frontex border guards to assist Moldova in border management (border control, registration and authentication of border crossings and surveillance tasks). cooperation with the Moldovan authorities, as well as assistance in the collection and exchange of information).
