THE Ukrainian chairman Volodymyr Zelensky has become a symbol of resistance with his fiery speeches and attitudes in parliaments and various forums, after his country was found to fights Russia that invaded its territories.
On many online shopping platforms, the olive T-shirt he wears has become a hit. The t-shirt bearing the logo of the Ukrainian Armed Forces can be found in many markets such as Amazon, eBay and Etsy, according to a post by Newsweek.
“Support the President of Ukraine Zelensky-Ukrainian symbolic T-Shirt,” says an Amazon listing.
Wayne, who sells the T-shirts on Etsy, told Newsweek in an interview that 50% of the profits will go to Ukraine. Ever since he put them up for sale on Etsy, Wayne has said orders have skyrocketed, especially since Zelensky’s speech to the US Congress.
According to Wayne, since putting the T-shirts on Etsy last week, he has made a profit of about $ 3,000, which means he plans to donate about $ 1,500 to Ukraine using Care.Org. He also explained that he intends to wait until the end of the month to donate part of his profits, instead of making many smaller donations after each sale.
The orders come from people living in the US but also from other countries such as Poland, Czech Republic, Singapore, Australia, Great Britain and Portugal.
