The war in Ukraine will not end “soon,” said US Vice President JD Vance during an interview with Fox News on Thursday (1).
It is in the hands of the “Russians and Ukrainians now that each side knows what are the conditions of peace. It will be until they reach an agreement and stop this brutal conflict,” Vance told Fox News host Bret Baier.
“It’s not going anywhere, Bret. It won’t end anytime soon,” added Vance.
Declaration comes amid pressure from the United States for an agreement between Moscow and Kiev. The Secretary of State of the United States, Marco RubyThis week said it was time for Russia and Ukraine to present concrete proposals to end the war in Ukraine and, if there is no progress, the US will move away as mediators.
“We are now at a time when the two parties need to submit concrete proposals on how to close this conflict. As we will do it from here it is a decision now that is up to the president. If there is no progress, we will move away as mediators in this process,” said state department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce, citing declaration of declaration of Ruby.
