War in Ukraine: Zelensky’s adviser says there can be no trust in Russia

Volodymyr Zelensky’s adviser, Mikhail Pontolyak, was uneasy about the outcome of the peace talks, noting that there was no confidence in Russia. In fact, he stressed that the war in Ukraine can only be stopped by force.

“Any agreement with Russia is worth nothing”Pontoliak said in a post on the Telegram application. “Is it possible for someone to negotiate with a country that is constantly lying in a cynical and propagandistic way?”.

“Russia has proven to be a barbaric country that threatens global security”said Pontoliak. “A barbarian can only be stopped by force”.

About 10,000 Russian soldiers in Luhansk

The governor of Luhansk province, Sergi Gaidai, said about 10,000 Russian troops were in the eastern part of the country.

“These are units that are permanent in Luhansk Oblast, trying to attack and make progress in any direction they can.”Gaidai said on Ukrainian television.
