Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi claimed today that the Israel has not “achieved any of its objectives” since the start of the war against Hamas. “If we want to make an analysis after 40 days, it is that the enemy has been defeated,” Raisi said in a speech, according to the official Irna news agency. And along with the “temporary truce, we must say that the Palestinian people and the resistance have won a great victory.”
Israel and Hamas announced a cease-fire agreement that provides for the release of 50 hostages in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners and a four-day cessation of hostilities. However truce will not come into force earlier than tomorrowFriday, Israeli officials said today amid continued clashes in the Gaza Strip.
After attack launched by Hamas against Israel and which triggered the war on October 7, “the Zionists announced that they would take over Gauze and that they want to destroy the resistance, but they did not achieve any of these goals,” the Iranian president added.
He again accused “America and the West of supporting them with all their might.”
“Today is a day of victory of dignity against the devil and everyone can celebrate it,” said Raisi, whose country does not recognize the existence of Israel and supports Palestinian Hamas and Lebanese Hezbollah.
