A man who was sentenced to death in South Carolina was executed on Friday, in the fourth and last scheduled execution in the United States for this week. Steven Stank, 57, had been sentenced to the final of his friend Henry Turner in 2005, 74, and his 43 -year -old Laura King companion, as well as the rape and attempted assassination of the teenager daughter of the second victim. He was killed yesterday by injection of a deadly chemical in a prison in Columbia. He had been suggested options for the method of execution by the state’s prison authorities: he could choose the executive, the electric chair or the deadly injection. Prefer the latter. Three other men, convicted of murders, were executed earlier this week in the US, all in the US south.
