Watch: Police cameras show approach to Porsche driver after accident

Images recorded by military police body cameras show the moment of the approach to businessman Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, shortly after causing the accident with a Porsche that resulted in the death of app driver Ornaldo da Silva Viana, in the east zone of São Paulo.

Fernando, 24 years old, was driving the Porsche at 156 km/h, at 2:30 am on March 31 moments before hitting the back of the Renault Sandero, driven by Ornaldo, 52 years old, on Avenida Salim Farah Maluf.

When the police approached, Fernando was accompanied by his mother, Daniela Cristina de Medeiros Andrade, and left the place without taking a breathalyzer test despite admitting to the police that he had left a party.

The businessman's data was recorded by the police. When asked how the accident occurred, the Porsche driver stated: “I was going out with Marcus (a friend), we were going home, then a horrible accident happened… Marcus was injured. We were leaving the party, we were going to my house, to play pool, and out of nowhere a horrible accident happened, I don’t remember anything about it.”

Fernando's mother pressured the police to release the young man, saying she would take him to the hospital. They did not want assistance from the Fire Department.

Fernando's friend, medical student Marcus Vinicius Machado Rocha, 22, was discharged on April 12th .

Police request driver arrest for third time

A São Paulo Civil Police requested, for the third time, Fernando's arrest . The investigation investigating the case concluded, this Thursday (25), with the indictment of the businessman for homicide with possible intent, bodily injury and fleeing the scene of the accident.

The investigation by the 30th DP (Tatuapé) concluded that Fernando took the risk of killing (homicide with possible intent), seriously injured medical student Marcus Vinicius Machado Rocha (bodily injury), and left without taking a breathalyzer test (escape from local).
