Former President Donald Trump was removed from the stage at a rally in Pennsylvania, United States, this Saturday (13), after gunshots were heard at the scene.
He came out with a wound on his face and was bleeding.
Loud bangs were heard before Trump fell. Secret Service agents then helped him to his feet. He was shouting back at the crowd and raised his fist.
The former president was later taken to a vehicle and removed from the scene.
Reporters at the scene reported hearing “a series of loud explosions or bangs” before Secret Service agents rushed toward Trump.
Donald Trump’s spokesman Steven Cheung said the former president was “doing well.”
“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their swift action during this heinous act. He is in good condition and is being evaluated at a local medical center. More details will be forthcoming,” Cheung said in a statement.
