A video shows the crash of a helicopter on Tuesday afternoon (20) in Barueri, Greater São Paulo, leaving at least seven victims. Three of them are in serious condition, according to the Military Police.
In the images, recorded by a security camera, it is possible to see that the aircraft crashed at 5:25 pm on Tuesday. See the video:
According to the Fire Department, the seven injured were occupants of the aircraft, two children, two women and three men.
The pilot was rescued among the wreckage and taken by helicopter to the Hospital das Clínicas in São Paulo. He had a fractured femur. The other six injured were taken to the Barueri Central PS.
The accident occurred near Marco Avenue. The area is about 2 kilometers from Alphaville Empresarial.
FAB investigates accident
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) investigates the crash of a helicopter in Barueri (SP). The investigation will be carried out by the Fourth Regional Service for the Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents, in São Paulo.
Teams were already on site on Tuesday night (20). According to the FAB, the conclusion will take as short a time as possible, depending on the complexity of the case and the need to discover possible contributing factors.
In the initial action, the specialized team will carry out the collection and confirmation of data, the preservation of the investigation elements, the initial verification of damage caused to the aircraft, or by the aircraft. And collection of other information necessary for the investigation process.
