Western Digital has expanded its solid state drive portfolio with the WD Green SN350 line. M.2 2280 SSDs with PCIe 3.0 x4 interface are available in 240, 480 and 960 GB sizes.

The manufacturer does not publish data on the controller and flash memory used in the SN350. However, the resource information suggests that it is QLC NAND memory.
The 240GB drive is designed to write 40TB of Lifetime (TBW) data. For the 480 GB model, the resource is declared to be 60 TBW, and for the 960 GB model, 80 TBW. By comparison, 250GB and 500GB WD Blue SN550 drives that use TLC NAND flash are rated at 150 and 300 TBW respectively.
Indicators of speed and performance are shown in the table.
Model | Sequential Read Speed MB / s | Sequential write speed, MB / s | Read performance, IOPS | Write performance, IOPS |
WD Green SN350 240GB | 2400 | 900 | 160 000 | 160 000 |
WD Green SN350 480GB | 2400 | 1650 | 250 000 | 170 000 |
WD Green SN350 960GB | 2400 | 1900 | 340 000 | 380 000 |
In terms of pricing, the 240GB drive costs $ 44, the 480GB drive costs $ 55, and the 960GB drive costs $ 100. This is noticeably cheaper than the aforementioned WD Blue SN550 SSDs of similar size.
