According to Avtograd News, AvtoVAZ signed an order to create a single car assembly plant. A photo of the corresponding order was published by the source.
The essence of the order is that now instead of separate factory divisions – for welding, painting and assembling cars of the B0 platform (LADA Largus, XRAY, Renault Logan and Sandero), LADA Granta and the Niva family (Legend and Travel) – there will be joint production of welding, painting and plant assembly as a whole.
As the governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov said earlier, this restructuring will allow the AvtoVAZ management to quickly transfer workers from one assembly line to another, which at that time will be equipped with all the necessary components.
At the same time, AvtoVAZ refused to respond to the request of the Za Rulem publication to officially comment on the content and purpose of creating this order: “We do not comment on our internal orders.”
AvtoVAZ yesterday went on a corporate vacation, which will last, according to the published plans, until April 24, 2022.
