The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen said Wednesday that they have reached 100 million vaccines administered against the coronavirus in the European Union, Reuters reported.
“The EU will receive 50 million BioNTech-Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines sooner, in the second quarter instead of the fourth quarter as originally scheduled,” said von der Leyen. He added that the EU will talk with BioNTech-Pfizer for a new contract for the COVID vaccine for 1.8 billion doses during 2021-2023.
