After pleading with her brother Kayky Brito, hospitalized after being run over in the early hours of Saturday (2), in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, actress Sthefany Brito returned to speak about the accident, this Monday (4) .
In a publication made on her Instagram, Sthefany shared an affectionate video call between her and Kayky, in which the actor melts for his sister.
“Sté, thank you for your time, for your friendship as my sister. I love you, respect you, admire you. Thank you for your usual patience, for never losing it with me”, says the actor in the video.
In the caption, the actress stated that she is firm and hopeful in her brother’s recovery. “I woke up strong, good news, talked to you [sic] (boring, right? even you [sic] not being, I’m still here talking to you all day long! [sic], took a shower, prayed and thought: 09:00 and still no tears! What an evolution!” she wrote.
Stefhany then expressed all her love for the actor: “Kaykyyyyyy I love you with all the strength of my soul. We chose to come together in this life, in this family because [sic] we sure were always together in all the others! I don’t exist without you! [sic] I’m here on my knees begging God to continue taking care of you! [sic] Thank you for fighting, for being a warrior! We need you! [sic]. I already miss listening to you [sic] call me Thézinha”.
Finally, the actress paraphrased what Kayky says in the video shared by her. “I more than love you, I respect and admire you, my love!”, She finished.
The accident
In an interview with CNN the delegate of the 16th Police Station of Rio de Janeiro, Ângelo Lages, explained that the actor was at the Quiosque Dona Mariaat Posto 6, on Barra beach, with actor Bruno De Luca and other friends.
Kayky went to get some belongings in his car and, on returning to the kiosk, he was run over on Avenida Lucio Costa, at number 4700, around 1 am.
According to Lages, the car, a Fiat Argo, belonged to an app driver who took a passenger, with a baby, from Recreio dos B
walkers to Barra da Tijuca. The driver even tried to divert to the right lane, but was unable to avoid the actor.
The police requested expertise from the site and are trying to find out if the driver was traveling at a speed higher than the speed allowed for the stretch.
The State Secretariat of Military Police reported that police officers from the 31st BPM responded to the incident. The case was registered in the 16th PD as culpable bodily injury, when there is no intention.
“The driver was taken to the 16th DP and to the IML to carry out a blood alcohol test, which was negative for drinking alcohol,” the PM said in a note.

Actor Bruno De Luca, who was at the kiosk when Kayky was run over, asked his friend for prayers, and said he is “saddened and shaken”.
“I am very sad and shaken by what happened, apprehensive, but with faith that God will intercede for my brother. I want to ask Kayky for a prayer chain, so he can get out of this as soon as possible”, said Bruno on his Instagram.
