“Don’t worry, we will liberate Iran. They’re going to free themselves soon enough,” Biden said on the campaign trail in California, as dozens of people holding pro-Iranian banners gathered outside the rally.
The American president did not elaborate on the actions he intends to take during his speech at MiraCosta College near San Diego.
The White House National Security Council has not yet responded to a request for comment, as reported by Reuters and the Athens News Agency.
For seven weeks, Iran has been rocked by anti-government protests that erupted after the September 16 death of 22-year-old Mahsha Amini. after she was arrested by the morality police for not wearing her headscarf properly.
