With the Easter holiday, many people are thinking about traveling or having a family lunch. THE CNNmeteorologist Maria Clara Sassaki, from Climatempo, said that several regions of Brazil will have a high volume of rain.
“The expectation is for firm weather in much of Brazil, especially in the Center and South because of a mass of cold air,” he said.
According to Maria Clara, on the coast of São Paulo and Paraná, there is a little cloudiness due to a circulation of humid winds and it can rain during the weekend.
She warns of the possibility of drizzle and fog in mountainous regions — which can make the tracks slippery.
“We had a mass of cold air gaining strength in the Southeast region, also in the South of Brazil and Mato Grosso”, he says.
According to the meteorologist, some regions of Bahia will have heavy rains with potential risk for landslides.
“Salvador has a very heavy sky, the effect of a cold front. We’ve already had quite a lot of rain, and it should continue between today and tomorrow”, says Maria Clara.
In addition, regions of the North and Northeast can receive rain showers throughout the weekend.
“Practically all the states between Ceará and Amapá, also in Amazonas and Roraima, have conditions for very voluminous rain between today and tomorrow – precipitation can come at any time of the day”, he said.
According to Sassaki, the temperature should not rise much throughout the week. A new cold front may arrive in Southeast Brazil.
“It is possible that the next holiday will have rain. And because of a cold front that should arrive in Southeast Brazil”, points out Maria Clara.
