Weather: spring (early) after frost

Farewell to the Siberian frost. The cold and snow of the last few days have the hours numbered. The Burian wind is leaving, bringing the snow to the plains and to the seashore and temperatures have gone widely below freezing everywhere. The situation changes from mid-week in particular due to temperatures that suggest an early spring according to the weather forecast.

The high pressure comes from Spain and spreads over much of the Mediterranean. This means that Italy will have days of stable and sunny weather.

By Wednesday, temperatures will increase: up to 12 degrees the maximum in Milan and Turin, 11 degrees in Florence, Rome and Naples, even 13 or 14 degrees in Sicily and Sardinia.

To benefit most from the high pressure will be the South, with sunny days. On the other hand, the North will still see some clouds and mists, albeit with milder temperatures than those of past days. Sunday could be a sunny day anywhere.

We cannot speak of spring. It’s just an advance in temperatures. From a meteorological point of view, spring begins with the first day of March, so in a couple of weeks. From an astronomical point of view, however, the date is set this year to the 20th of next month.
