Web celebrates nomination of Fernanda Torres and “I’m Still Here” for the Golden Globe

THE Brazil received two nominations for the 2025 Golden Globes one of Hollywood’s main awards – both for “I’m Still Here” by Walter Salles. The film competes in the categories of Best Non-English Language Film and Best Actress in a Drama (Fernanda Torres).

The achievement marks the country’s return to the award after 20 years. The last time a Brazilian production was nominated in the first category was in 2005, with “Motorcycle Diaries” (2004), also by Salles.

Fernanda Torres’ nomination comes 25 years after her mother, Fernanda Montenegro, 95, achieved the same feat for “Central do Brasil” (1998). On social media, Brazilians celebrated the achievements. See below.
