Continued this Wednesday (17) the Web Summit Rio 2024 . On the second day of the event, the lectures and panels focused on debating the impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) .
The technology event, considered one of the largest in the world, addressed the transformations caused by AI in business. Topics include how to prevent fraud, improve productivity, reduce costs and innovate marketing campaigns using technology.
The topic was debated among the five pavilions, with the presence of Brazilian businesspeople. In total, the Web Summit will have more than 600 talks.
Around 40 thousand people from different countries are expected to attend the event over the three days of this edition.
Company representatives interviewed by the CNN They spoke enthusiastically about the transformation caused by the advancement of AI, but they also defended the regulation of technology to boost the economy.
“What we need to be aware of is how AI will affect my work so that I can put together a serious career plan”, explains Luiza Trajano, president of the board of directors at Magazine Luiza. “What I have heard most about countries trying is to regulate this without harming the internet, which is a reality today.”
Fernando Freitas, head of innovation at Bradesco, has already spoken, reinforcing the revolutionary movement that began with ChatGPT.
“It’s the first time you’ve put an artificial intelligence system in the hands of ordinary users,” he explained. “Generative artificial intelligence and OpenAI with ChatGPT have revolutionized by putting the average user directly accessing AI.”
The Web Summit Rio 2024 runs until this Thursday (18). This is the second edition of the event, which should be repeated until 2028.
