The partnership of Movimento Bem Maior — a non-profit institution that leads the Brazilian ranking of donations — and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) was the theme of the 4th edition of the “Diálogos do Movimento Bem Maior” this Thursday ( 15).
The webinar, broadcast on Bigger Movement YouTube channelhighlighted the importance of increasing public-private relations to raise philanthropic resources for education, entrepreneurship and productive inclusion projects.
Participating in the event, businessman Rubens Menin highlighted the importance of the third sector in combating social inequalities in Brazil.
“The third sector will be the great force that will solve these problems. I am extremely optimistic about the role of the third sector in combating these ills,” said Menin.
Founder and chairman of the board of MRV Engenharia, businessman Rubens Menin is also the controller of Inter, Log Commercial Properties and CNN Brasil.
Movimento Bem Maior and the BNDES entered into a partnership that provides for investments in educational and entrepreneurship projects through combined financing, known as matchfunding.
“Combining these two forces and signaling that a public-private partnership for actions with social impact is very important for Brazil”, pointed out Bruno Aranha, director of Productive and Socio-environmental Credit at the BNDES.
According to Menin, “resources are finite, so we have an obligation to apply these resources more efficiently to have the best possible return”.
“I am very satisfied that these projects have an enormous capacity to change our country”, he concluded.
