On Monday (4), the website WABetaInfo published a text saying that WhatsApp would be releasing a new version with updates to hide online status, changes in the function of reacting to messages and a series of news. The company, however, said it “does not comment on rumours”.
In a statement, WhatsApp stated that: “The source of this information is Wabetainfo and WhatsApp does not comment on rumours.”
The supposed update would be for some Beta users who have the latest versions of the app for Android and iOS.
Possible changes
Hide status: the supposed feature would allow you to choose which of your contacts could see if you are online — as is the case with the “last seen” function that allows you to view the last time someone was in the application. Options include “Everyone”, “Nobody”, “My Contacts” and “My Contacts Except…”.
Currently, the platform shows in the window of each conversation when the user is online.

The rumor flooded social media with comments, as users had long been asking for more ‘privacy’. Some recalled the existence of the MSN from Microsoft, which allowed the user to be “invisible” while using the application.
My God, there has to be an update for yesterday to remove whatsapp online or come back with MSN
