Wednesday: everything we know about the second season of the series

There viral scene by Dancing Wednesday has been viewed on YouTube alone over 36 million times and spawned a TikTok trend recreating the choreography. Wednesday Addams itself has tweeted the announcement of the second season, saying: «I have been hunted, persecuted and imitated millions of times on the Internet. She was pure torture. What’s in store for the teenage mistress of darkness this time?”

Who will return in the second season of Wednesday?

Of course Jenna Ortega will be back wearing her iconic black tresses, but little else has been revealed about the cast. Still, you can bet that everyone who made it out of season 1 alive, including pal Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday ) and Xavier Thorpe (Percy Hynes White), will return to Nevermore Academy. As for characters like Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie), it might be naive to believe that she is really dead. We can’t even rule out Marilyn Thornhill (formerly Wednesday Christina Ricci). Everything is possible in the mystical universe of Tim Burton.

Hopefully we can see more of the famous Addams Family in Season 2, con Catherine Zeta-Jones in the role of Morticia, Luis Guzman in that of Gomez e Fred Armisen in Uncle Fester’s. Perhaps season 2 will expand the family with the introduction of other iconic members like cousin Itt.

What will season 2 be about Wednesday?

The fate of Wednesday it really is an infinite and deep black hole of possibilities. But as we saw in the Season 1 finale, Hyde revealed as Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), is technically still around, so its return may be imminent. When will the second season be released?
