In an interview with CNN This Sunday (14), Francisco de Assis, head of weather forecast at the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), said that the week should start hot, but a new cold front brings sudden changes in temperature throughout the days.
The states of Mato Grosso, Goiás, in addition to the interior of São Paulo should register temperatures above 30ºC this beginning of the week, according to Francisco. However, a mass of cold air brings heavy rains to Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul.
The head of weather forecast at Inmet also stated that “in general, the forecast for this Father’s Day Sunday is very good in the country, with the exception of Bahia, Sergipe and Alagoas, which have persistent rain”.
The meteorologist pointed out that temperatures should rise in much of the country during the afternoon. Air humidity levels remain low in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Tocantins, Bahia, Minas Gerais and São Paulo.
