We broke up with February 2020 to meet again in passing the following September and then again timidly last February. Today, finally, we can say that we have found it again, and also in great shape!
We are talking about the street style, that is, of all those photos taken outside the fashion shows and presentations during the Fashion Week around the world. After various editions of digital events or with very little presence, this September we can say of having rediscovered a certain normality.
Ok, not everything is the same as before. But we have seen and see a beautiful movement: fashion editors, stylists, celebrities, buyers and influencers have repopulated the streets and have been immortalized by photographers stationed outside the most sought-after locations. In conclusion, everything seems to be returning as we remembered it. Indeed, to tell the truth, maybe even better.
In what sense? Let’s say that pre-pandemic we had probably all reached a very high level of saturation with regard to a certain fashion communication: too many images, too much the same, too many constructed looks, too much exasperation in certain styles, too much of everything. It seemed like a competition to see who was the most capable of attracting attention of the flashes (and note, style was not talked about anymore).
It looks different today. Browsing through the galleries of street styles shot in the main fashion cities, New York, London, Milan, Paris and Copenhagen (here lately some creative street-trends are born), we had some nice surprises. Many different styles thanks to which the various personalities can finally be glimpsed. Outfits not approved and not too forced.
