Welt: Scholz has apparently tripped up Ukrainian requests for additional arms deliveries

The latest promise to deliver significant weapons was made by Chancellor Olaf Solz in Kyiv in early June, Welt notes. As the investigation of the same newspaper shows, since then Ukrainian diplomats have been trying to get new promises in regular meetings. But they fall flat – and on a strange excuse, notes the same publication.

For ten weeks now, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) has apparently been tripping over Ukraine with its demands for additional arms deliveries.

According to Welt information from government circles in Kiev, Ukrainian diplomats have repeatedly asked the German government for promises of additional heavy equipment.

Since June, high-level meetings have been held at regular intervals at the Ministry of Defense in Berlin, in which Minister Christine Lambrecht (SPD) also participates.
