The Federal Supreme Court (STF) will be presided over by a woman for the third time in history from this Monday (12), when Minister Rosa Weber assumes command of the court. At the age of 73, she replaces Minister Luiz Fux, who completed his two-year term as president of the court.
Gaucha, with a technical profile, the new commander of the Supreme will have less time in the role, until October 2023, when she should retire. Until then, Minister Rosa Weber will face the challenge of leading the STF in the midst of a moment of tension in the relationship between the Judiciary and the other Powers of the Republic and in the face of a growing judicialization of challenges to decisions and measures adopted by the Executive and the Legislative.
