What did SYRIZA understand from the KINAL elections – Part two

By Niki Zorba

As it is well known, SYRIZA avoids giving handles that it is interfering in the internal party processes of KINAL / PASOK, hence, as soon as the polls on Sunday were opened and the clear victory of Nikos Androulakis was recorded, they were limited to private discussions and analyzes inside and around Koumoun. how the results were formed.

They were surprised by the big difference in favor of Androulakis, but not by the final composition of the gladiators of the second round. As Capital.gr wrote yesterday, If anything was important from the first moment in Koumoundourou, it was that the polls that “gave” a picture of a lead to A. Loverdos “fell out” who was found to be the last to “cut” the thread of the internal party race.

From yesterday, however, they began to gradually find their “miles” again at the level of public debate. In the one and only announcement-comment they issued about what was happening in KINAL, they dealt with the polls with excessive satisfaction: For the umpteenth time it is confirmed in our country that the first in the polls is not finally the first in the polls, commented from the “central”.

They are the same sources, collaborators of Alexis Tsipras, who stand particularly in the failure of the polls for the forecasts they gave to KINAL, for the legible reason: As they “failed” to record the real image and correlation of forces within KINAL, the same They are also unreliable in the (not at all flattering) percentages they give for SYRIZA.

The reason for the “excitement” is understandable.

The anti-SYRIZA front

Regarding the unscrupulous and unreliable polls, Koumoundourou adds another “weapon” to her narrative quiver because of the twins of the KINAL elections: The anti-SYRIZA front that “Mr. Mitsotmakis tried to resurrect” is being buried. .

And if they avoid personal references to N.Iko Androulakis and George Papandreou, the exact opposite is true for Andreas Loverdos, to which they refer to the candidacy, namely, speaking directly about his support by the ND mechanism in order to keep the anti-SYRIZA front “alive”.

This was defeated, according to the same Koumoundouria reading, as neither N. Androulakis nor G. Papandreou have “conservative” characteristics.

In short, the “duo” that qualified for the second round of internal parties in KINAL, if not has “anti-right” characteristics, but does not “burn” SYRIZA’s narrative of “progressive governance”, as was the case with the candidacy of Mr. Loverdou.

It is very indicative of that, the comment of party sources:

“The non-election of Loverdos, which would close any debate on progressive governance, especially in an electoral battle with simple proportional representation, objectively leaves open a series of possible developments.”
