The Minister of State Akis Skertsos, responding to an announcement by SYRIZA-PS, made the following statement:
“At noon after my speech in Parliament during the debate on the 2022 budget, responding to the parliamentary representative of KINAL Nadia Giannakopoulou regarding the Tsiodra-Lytra study, I remind you that I said verbatim:
“The government has repeatedly taken a stand on these issues, taken initiatives, designed and implemented policies that strengthen the health system, and seeks to address precisely these problems. What are the problems the study identifies?
(1) that when the Health System is overburdened it is more difficult to meet the requirements and
(2) that there are inequalities at regional level in the NSS. Both issues – long before the study was drafted – have been raised to the highest level by the Prime Minister himself.
Therefore, whether or not we knew the study is irrelevant. We did not know her. I assure you that the government receives dozens of relevant suggestions and statistics, studies them all and evaluates them all. ”
In other words, I clearly said that we did not receive the study, a phrase that was silenced by SYRIZA in its announcement “, Mr. Skertsos states in his statement.
