Not long ago, Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple could release an augmented reality headset in Q4 2022 with Mac-class computing capabilities.
Now details have emerged about an augmented and virtual reality device that will focus on three main areas: gaming, media consumption and communications. The main focus will be on gaming, so the headset will have dual processors, a cooling fan, a very high-resolution display and an independent app store. The device will support independent installation of applications.
Media consumption means Apple can work with partners to view VR content and other types of video directly on the device. On the communications side, Apple will launch Animojis and VR FaceTime to support new ways to communicate with each other.
It is reported that the new device will have very powerful hardware computing capabilities, while Appl will regularly release new models that will finally replace the iPhone in the market over the next 10 years.
Earlier, Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple will sell at least 1 billion augmented reality devices within 10 years.
