It is well known that corn is an essential ingredient in Latin cuisine and due to the rich culture that we have, it is possible to share our traditions and customs in other places. One of the dishes that always wins the affection of everyone, no matter where they are from, is corn. Whether it contains other ingredients or none at all, it is a delicacy from the gods that everyone should try.
Recently, this popular snack from Mexico has traveled around the world, reaching one of the most touristic places longed for by all: Paris, France. The person responsible for this dish reaching so far is the street vendor Deivinson Campo, originally from Colombia, who decided to place his stand of warm corn in nothing more and nothing less than the Eiffel Tower, where Parisians have been able to access the delicious food.
Through the TikTok platform, the video of the young man serving his French customers went viral, whom we can see eagerly waiting for him to take the little corn out of his makeshift cart, put lemon and salt on it and deliver it to them ready to taste.
In the clip we can see that Deivinson attracts more and more people, chanting his sale to the sound of “corn, corn, corn”. In addition, he took the opportunity to send a message to all those who have the opportunity to buy from street vendors:
I am from Colombia, this is for people who sometimes find someone on the street selling a red wine or an arepa, I want to tell them that perhaps this is the work of many people. Let’s collaborate! This is the way of working for them and this may be the way of bringing food to their homes.

As expected, the video was filled with supportive comments, but, above all, those who praise Latin cuisine and applaud the Colombian’s effort to undertake so far from home. In addition, many others assured that Latin Americans are hard workers and do not give up easily.
It is certainly an example of perseverance and effort. Now we only have to ask: would the French like their corn with chili that itches or the one that doesn’t?
