What if we told you to apply mascara on the mustache above the lip?

Its mission? Normalize the female image, giving dignity to the little big ones and defects that any woman knows. Influencer, beautician and founder of the podcast #normalizethis, English Joanna Kenny intends to challenge the taboos concerning the world of beauty, challenging the glossy and completely artificial images that populate social media. For this reason, Kenny decided to post on her Instagram page (@joannajkenny) of photos that see her with a mustache above her lip highlighted by black mascara.

MUSTACHE IN THE FOREGROUND AND ZERO PARANOIE
The video in which Joanna Kenny shows herself with an unshaved mustache and – indeed – underlined by dark mascara is, of course, went viral in a very short time. There’s more: in the video in question, the influencer’s husband gives her a sweet kiss, as if to say “I really don’t care about your mustache.” As Kenny writes: “My life has nothing to do with how attractive people find me. ️I only put mascara on my lips to emphasize that having hair IS NORMAL. Choosing not to remove the mustache doesn’t make me or any other woman ugly. I don’t make decisions about my physical appearance to please my husband or any other man. He knows it, he respects me and I love him for this ».

Hats off to women like Joanna Kenny, capable of proposing another femininity on social media: authentic, unfiltered, self-deprecating, unconventional. In the gallery, some of the posts that made the English influencer famous all over the world.
