In this position he will work with Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur of Indian origin. The owner of X, Tesla and SpaceX will lead a body to be dubbed the Department of Government Efficiency – or Doge for short, which is also the name of a cryptocurrency promoted by Musk. We don’t yet know much about how this new organization will work in practice, as it appears that it will operate independently of the usual government agency structures.
