The circumstances of the accident that resulted in the death of the 35-year-old Formula 1600, Eduardo Imamura, and his seven-year-old son, Bento Imamura, last Saturday (5), on the Transbrasiliana Highway (BR-153) in Marília (SP), are being investigated by the Civil Police.
According to investigations, the truck, which was directed by pilot Eduardo Imamura, broke into the opposite lane and collided head -on with a truck.
A security camera caught the moment of the crash that resulted in the death of the pilot of Formula 1600 and his son, Bento Imamura, 7.
In the images, the truck travels normally through the road when suddenly the Amarok truck invades the track in the opposite direction and collides head on with the vehicle.
The Federal Highway Police were called in to serve the incident and found that the vehicle where the victims were had crossed the lane and violently shocked against a truck. Eduardo Imamura died at the scene of the accident and his son, who was hospitalized, died two days later.
The case was formally registered as a manslaughter in the direction of a motor vehicle, bodily injury towards a motor vehicle and death communication at the Marilia Sectional Police Station.
