What is known about Queen Elizabeth II’s past health problems

Doctors expressed concern about the health of the queen elizabeth II on Thursday (8), stating that the 96-year-old British monarch should remain under medical supervision.

Until the age of 90, the queen continued to undertake a wide range of engagements.

However, she has been forced to significantly reduce her schedule this year as she suffers from mobility issues. In recent years, the monarch has suffered a few episodes related to her health.

December 2003: The queen underwent surgery to remove a torn cartilage in her left knee. A similar surgery followed on his right knee earlier in the same year.

2013, March: The monarch was hospitalized to be treated for gastroenteritis, a common stomach problem.

May 2021: She missed the Remembrance Sunday service in central London after a bad back.

October 2021: The queen spent a night in a hospital while undergoing “preliminary investigations”, the palace said at the time.

February 2022: The Queen contracted Covid-19 and suffered mild cold symptoms, but continued with light duties.

Since her Covid-19 diagnosis, the Queen has been forced to more regularly cancel or scale back some events.

She did not attend all of the June Platinum Jubilee celebrations – marking her 70 years on the throne – and missed the statewide opening of Parliament the previous month due to mobility issues.
