The plane that crashed this Sunday morning (22) in Gramado, in the mountains of Rio Grande do Sul, left 10 people dead. All of them are from the family of Luiz Galeazzi, CEO of Galeazzi & Associados.
According to information obtained by CNN the meteorological situation at the time of the flight was complicated due to the rain and fog that covered the region.
The plane took off at 9:12 am from Canela Airport, a city next to Gramado, and was destined for Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo. A video shows the moment the accident victims cross the airport runway to get to the plane.

The accident happened after a plane crashed in Gramado, in the Gaúcha mountains, on Sunday morning (22). The accident happened on Avenida das Hortênsias. Initial information states that the small aircraft crashed into stores and houses.

Businessman owned the plane
The executive was the son of Claudio Galeazzi, who became the main specialist in bringing loss-making companies back to efficiency and, often, freeing them from bankruptcy and known for managing crises at companies such as Pão de Açúcar, BRF, Americanas, Grupo Estado between others.

Maria Leonor Salgueiro Galeazzi, mother of the CEO, also died in a plane crash in 2010. At the time, Maria Leonor was 69 years old and was the only passenger on the aircraft, in which she and the pilot died instantly.
Victims are from the businessman’s family
The government confirmed the occupants via security cameras showing the family boarding at Canela Airport (RS), a neighboring city of Gramado (RS). Security teams are still trying to access the area where the bodies are.
In addition to businessman Luiz Galeazzi, his wife, sister, Daniela Maria Salgueiro Galeazzi, brother-in-law Bruno Cardoso Munhoz Guimarães, mother-in-law and three children are among the fatal victims of the accident. Two other children, Luiz’s nephews, were also among the dead.
Bruno Cardoso Munhoz Guimarães is Project Director at Galeazzi & Associados and brother-in-law of Luiz Galeazzi. He was married to Daniela Galeazzi, with whom he had two children. The director had a degree in business administration from Mackenzie and worked on projects in the company’s financial, retail, services and industrial sectors. He was executive director for more than three years at Bahema Educação, focused on basic education schools.
