What is the GeForce RTX 3090 capable of in Dying Light 2 at 8K resolution?

Dying Light 2: Stay Human has just been released on the PC platform, but has already managed to become one of the most popular games of this year on Steam. The system requirements for it can not be called rigid, as the developers recommend a Core i7-4790K or AMD FX-9590 level processor, as well as a GeForce GTX 980 Ti level 3D card. However, as the resolution grows, the requirements for the video subsystem grow. And what can you expect if you have an 8K monitor (or TV), the game itself, and a top-end GeForce RTX 3090 video card?

What is the GeForce RTX 3090 capable of in Dying Light 2 at 8K resolution?

Alas, as it turned out, there is not much to count on. 8K resolution, High Quality mode – and with these settings, the GeForce RTX 3090 produces 18.1 FPS. Naturally, playing at such a frame rate is at least difficult. Enabling DLSS improves the situation: 36.1 FPS on average. Interestingly, when the picture quality is reduced to the Medium level and DLSS is turned on, the frame rate does not increase much – on average, up to 38 FPS. And even with the minimum graphics settings (Low level) and DLSS, the frame rate still did not reach the level of 60 FPS – it averaged 44.2 FPS. Only lowering the resolution to 4K made it possible to play Dying Light 2: Stay Human at 59.8 FPS with High Quality settings. But in this case, without DLSS in any way.
