What is the Iscro bonus?

The 2021 Budget Law introduced the Bonus Iscro (extraordinary indemnity for income and operational continuity): it is a sort of layoff for the VAT numbers. The incentive, paid by INPS until 2023, provides for support from 250 to 800 euros per month, paid into the recipient’s current account for six months. The aid is intended for those self-employed and para-subordinate workers who in the year prior to the submission of the application suffered a 50% drop in income compared to the average of the previous three-year period (the income of 2020 must therefore be taken into consideration and with the average of the three-year period 2017-2019).

To submit the application there are “strict” requirements: you must have been in possession of a regular VAT number for at least four years and obviously be in compliance with the mandatory social security contributions, not be retired, not receiving the Citizenship Income and be enrolled in the Separate Management INPS. Those who benefit from this contribution will, however, be obliged to attend some professional training courses, managed by ANPAL (National Agency for Active Labor Policies). Failure to participate will result in the loss of the ISCRO.

The request to receive the Iscro Bonus must be submitted via SPID, on the INPS website by October 31 of each year.

P.S: The ISCRO will be disbursed by INPS until the financial coverage provided for each year is exhausted (70.4 million euros in 2021).
