Instagram was the most searched social network in Brazil in 2023, surpassing platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) and Kwai. The information is based on Google Trends search data.
Both Instragram and Facebook, both from Mark Zuckerberg's Meta conglomerate, had twice as many – or more – searches as other social networks.
The photo and video social network led searches in most states – only Rio Grande do Sul recorded a higher search for Facebook.
The places that most searched for Instagram were: Maranhão, Alagoas, Sergie, Goiás and Ceará.
Related topics include: Instagram Threads, a social network launched by Meta this year to compete with X; IGTV, Instagram tool; and software for downloading videos from the social network.
In addition, “gain followers on Instagram”, “no Instagram followers”, “view Instagram anonymously” and “how to remove Instagram online” also appear in related searches.
This is the second year that Instagram has been the most searched social network in Brazil, according to Google Trends. In 2021, the post belonged to Facebook.
In the world, however, Facebook is still the most searched social network in 2023.
