What Nokia phones from the 2000s would look like if they were made today

Nokia phones and smartphones, created at the peak of the Finnish company’s capabilities, have forever entered the history of the mobile world. They are regularly remembered today: a designer from China with the pseudonym IWSE Zhang showed what the legendary Nokia models from the 2000s would be like if they were presented today.

All works are made in retrofuturism: the designer tried to combine the original look of smartphones with a new style. This is clearly seen in the example of the retrofuturistic Nokia 5300, from which IWSE Zhang made a smart watch: the old design and all the buttons are preserved, but the phone has turned into a “capsule” for the strap. Another good example is the BL-4C battery, which turned out to be a power bank with two USB 3.0 connectors.

The designer did not change the look of other smartphones either: the Nokia N-Gage console remained with its usual appearance, but became the core of the gamepad, and the Nokia N93i is completely recognizable at first sight, but supplemented with new buttons and switches.
