Sophia Mauboy posted related photos on Facebook, lashing out at the store. “I’m done,” he emphasized and continued: “I’ve eaten three quarters of it burger and watch out for antennas. I pull the top off the bun and – no joke – a whole insect, a centipede-like thing.”
“Save yourself the trouble and just don’t go there. It is unacceptable. I will never order from outside again.”

According to the New York Post, the insect appears to be a “scissor”, which if threatened can sting, something painful but not poisonous. As it states Healthline, the shearwater is not poisonous. Her stings, or very rarely bites, should not cause long-term complications, and heal quickly.

Within 24 hours her post had over 300 shares and many comments and reactions. “How did you manage to eat that and not see that?”, one wondered.
“I wish I had seen this sooner, I just ate a Hungry Jacks,” was another comment.
A statement from the restaurant chain confirmed it was investigating the woman’s allegations. “Hungry Jack has become aware of the Facebook post regarding the burger purchased from its restaurant and is investigating,” it said.
