What types of businesses grew up in the pandemic

Private Capital Companies (IKE) and Limited Liability Companies showed the largest increase in the midst of a pandemic, ie in the period 2019-2021.

At the same time, the largest increase was presented by companies in the sectors of accommodation, catering and health. This shows a comparative study of the data published in the annual report of the “Ergani” system for 2021.

Overall, in the period 2019 – 2021, the number of companies increased by 9.1%. Specifically, they amounted to 291,808 in 2021 compared to 265,216 in 2019. In other words, 26,592 new companies were added to the market.

Behind this overall increase is aid to every basic type of business, with the exception of public limited companies, which fell by 97 or 0.4%.

The largest increase was recorded in the number of Limited Liability Companies (34%). They are followed by the sole proprietorship Private Capital Companies (33%) and the Private Capital Companies (23%).

The number of Limited Liability Companies increased by 17%, the number of sole proprietorships increased by 8.5% and the number of Limited Liability Companies increased by 5%.

In terms of business growth by industry, the largest increase – among the 10 most populous (based on the number of businesses) occurred in accommodation (12%), which, however, occupy the 10th place in the ranking.

It is followed by catering (10.2%), health (9.9%), personal service activities (9.6%), retail (9.4%), legal and accounting activities (8.2%) %), the motor vehicle and motorcycle repair industry (7.3%), the wholesale trade other than motorcycles, etc. (5.4%), education (3.4%), specialized construction activities (2.1%) ) and land transport and pipeline transport (1.9%).
