What we know about the Porsche accident in SP; one person died

The driver of a Porsche 911, suspected of causing a fatal accident in the east zone of São Paulo, in the early hours of Sunday (31), is still being sought by the police. Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho disappeared from the scene of the accident.

The raid took place on Avenida Salim Farah Maluf, in the Tatuapé neighborhood, and ended with the death of Ornaldo da Silva Viana, 52 years old. He was in the Renault Sandero that was hit by the Porsche driven by Fernando.

The case

According to information in the police report, Fernando was driving the car, valued at R$1 million, when it crashed into another vehicle, causing the death of the driver, who was rescued and taken to the Emergency Room at Tatuapé Hospital, but did not survive his injuries. .

According to the bulletin, Fernando was with a passenger, identified as Marcus Vinícius Machado Rocha, taken to a nearby hospital and there is no information about his health status.

According to the state's Public Security Secretariat, Fernando was considered a suspect when the incident was registered at the police station following testimony from witnesses. According to reports, the Porsche was above the limit permitted on the road, which is 50 km/h, and had overtaken at high speed before the accident.

The driver's mother arrived at the scene of the accident and said she would take her son to Hospital São Luiz, in Ibirapuera, central region of São Paulo, and since then the Civil Police have been trying to locate Fernando. For the police, he is not yet considered a fugitive, as there is no arrest warrant against him, but efforts are underway to locate the suspect.
