Windows 11 definitely looks fresh, but not everyone likes the new look. Among the dissatisfied are sometimes designers who regularly experiment with the Windows 11 interface in new styles. Twitter user @AlurDesign did this with Material You from Android 12 (rather as a joke), and the result was rather mediocre, as commenters noted.
The style of Material You, which Google introduced with the release of Android 12 and still uses today, is characterized by rounding and visual minimalism. Also, this design implies adapting the color of the system elements to the color of the wallpaper on the main screen – the designer, apparently, decided to approach this with irony and recolored only the standard shortcuts, leaving the original icons of third-party applications (this problem of icon design incompatibility is also typical in reality).
In a nutshell, Windows 11 in the style of modern Android looks like an ugly mixture of Chrome OS and a special Android 12L optimized for large and foldable screens.
