King Charles IIIcrowned King of England last May at the age of 73 years oldhas longevity in his genes: his father, the prince Philip, died at the age of 99 in 2021, just two months before his 100th birthday; his mother, the queen Elizabeth, passed away last September at the age of 96. Anyway, when Charles dies one day, it will change the entire line of succession. The prince William will immediately become monarch and Kate Middleton she will be known as queen or queen consort. If Charles died before Queen Camilla, then, changes would naturally concern her too. Camilla, as the Daily Mirror, she could never take her husband’s place becoming sovereign of England: not being related from birth to the royal family, in fact, it is not in the line of succession and could not inherit the title. Not being the mother of William, the heir to the throne, Camilla nor could she become Queen Mother as was for example Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, mother of Queen Elizabeth.
So what will happen to her? As explains the Daily MirrorCamilla would keep her position within the monarchy but there would be a change to her title: from queen consort she would become «queen dowager», «queen dowager». A royal title which was first used by the Queen Adelaide when her husband, King William IV, died. It was 1837, Adelaide lived another twelve years. If Camilla were to become «queen dowager» one day, could choose to retire to private life, perhaps at Ray Mill House, his beloved country house in Wiltshire. Or Frcould continue his charity work for causes close to her heart such as health, literacy, the arts, supporting women who have experienced rape and sexual assault.
Camilla in theory could lose the title of “queen dowager” only if decided to remarryreaching three husbands (before Carlo there was Andrew Parker Bowles with whom he had children Tom And Laura). But that is not certain: the reigning sovereign – i.e. William – could decide to change the royal regulation by decreeing that a widowed queen can keep her titles even with a new marriage.
