Unwanted calls are one of the most common annoyances in everyday life. With the aim of increasing security in the exchange of messages and reducing disturbances, Whatsapp announced a new feature this Tuesday (20).
From now on, users will be able to mute calls from unknown numbers. Now available, the mute unknown callers feature extends control over incoming calls.
The tool helps automatically delete spam, scams and calls from unknown people for greater protection. With the action, the calls will no longer make the phone ring, but will still be visible in the call list, in case a call was made from someone important.
To activate the feature, simply access the “settings” > “privacy” > “calls” menu. And activate the option “silence unknown numbers”.

As of this Tuesday, users will also have new privacy verification mechanisms.
Available in the privacy tab of the settings menu, the feature allows you to choose the appropriate level of protection for each user.
The “start verification” option, in your privacy settings, provides definitions about who you can contact, control of personal data, as well as mechanisms to add more privacy and protection to messages and the account in the application.
