You Meta apps faced instability on the afternoon of this Wednesday (3). Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp were off air for a few minutes around 3pm, times when the Downdetector website recorded spikes in reports of problems.
In the following minutes, from 3:10 pm to 3:25 pm, the number of complaints about the operation of WhatsApp grew by 177%; of WhatsApp Business, by 146%; from Instagram, by 254%; and Facebook, at 15325%.
Three hours after the incident, users of X, formerly Twitter, still comment that they have no access to some platforms, especially Instagram. Of the social networks, only WhatsApp spoke out, saying that it was aware of the problem and working to normalize the application as quickly as possible.

On Google Trends, the search term “WhatsApp” showed a peak at 3:31 pm, which only normalized around 5:30 pm.
