Last July, the popular WhatsApp team introduced one of the most requested features: support for multiple devices with the same account.

While this feature finally allowed WhatsApp users to access the instant messaging app on up to four devices, there was one catch: you couldn’t connect another smartphone this way. Single account support only works with WhatsApp web, WhatsApp desktop or Facebook Portal smart screen.
But that will soon change as the WhatsApp team is actively working to expand multi-device support. According to the thematic resource WABetainfo, an interface for connecting an additional smartphone to the previous account has already appeared in WhatsApp test builds.

It will appear when the user tries to log into their WhatsApp account on another smartphone. As you can see in the screenshot, the user will be prompted to open WhatsApp on their primary smartphone, navigate to the Linked Device menu, and scan a QR code to complete the pairing process. Once this is done, users will be able to use the same WhatsApp account on two smartphones at the same time.
Apparently, soon the feature will be available in beta versions of WhatsApp, and then in stable versions for all users.
