WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram Down: the funniest memes

It could not fail to pass the scrutiny of the attentive and ironic lens of network users the longest blackout in the history of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram: seven long hours (or a few, depending on your point of view), in which we were no longer able to send or receive messages, post on message boards and browse others’, sometimes not even to open the front door since smart devices for management can be linked to social accounts.

Memes and funny posts, as you can see in the gallery above, have been wasted and continue to crowd the Twitter timeline: the only place where it was possible to post, on the other hand.

Twitter also joked about it: “Hello, literally everyone”, he wrote.

A tweet bounced millions of times and which will remain unforgettable also because there was no lack of sarcastic answers: waiting to return to “normality” Mc Donald’s offered to bring McNuggets to everyone, Starbucks coffee, while WhatsApp and Instagram from their account have launched a (diplomatic) greeting.

Chiara Ferragni also had her say: posted a photo of a very desperate family, while Fedez commented with a meme that said “let’s see if I still remember how to do it”.

The one who didn’t laugh at all was Mark Zuckerberg: the server problem that caused the blackout, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, cost him 6.11 billion dollars (€ 5.26 billion) in shares. All this, however, on the day when the computer engineer Frances Haugen, former Facebook employee, he must explain to the Washington Congress why he accused the company of opaque practices in the management of hate speech and fake news on a television program. Certainly there have been better days in Menlo Park. To see memes and posts, browse the gallery above
