WhatsApp introduces the function of listening to voice messages before sending

Voice messages are becoming an increasingly popular way to communicate in instant messengers. The developers are constantly adding additional functions for convenient recording and listening to such messages. In this regard, WhatsApp received an extremely useful update, whose users can now pre-listen to their voice messages before sending them. This should eliminate the problem when such records are sent in a hurry or by mistake.

In order to listen to a voice message before sending it, you must first press and hold the microphone icon, and then slide it up to switch to the hands-free recording mode. After the end, the user clicks on the “Stop” button and can listen to his recording.

It should be noted that this feature is only available in the hands-free recording mode. If you just hold down the microphone button and then release it, the voice message will be sent immediately. Along with the new function, the interface of the voice message recording window has also slightly changed. It’s funny that in this regard, WhatsApp is ahead of its fellows – Facebook Messenger and Instagram, which do not yet have the function of pre-listening to voice messages.
